Biography

In the past thirty odd years I have worked in a variety of media, but have decided to concentrate on metal sculpture. Most of my work is meant to be placed in a garden. My Themes have been Abstract, kinetic, Insect forms, people engaged in various activities.

I visit a scrapyard often to obtain materials that are pre-aged and sometimes for inspiration. I do not consider myself a junk sculptor because most of what I do is not recognizable as a specific object.

I hold the following degrees: BS, Art Ed, UW-Madison 1979; BS, Elem Ed, UW-Madison 1985; MS, Art Ed, UW-Milwaukee 2000; 26 credits towards a Tech Ed license.

I currently live in Cottage Grove, just outside Madison, with my wife, Maria.
